Justine Wentzell-Chang is a lot of things, but also a former acquisitions and co-productions executive turned writer and producer. She has developed and produced numerous films, including RIP TIDE (Netflix), THE CHRISTMAS CALENDAR (UpTV), and BACK OF THE NET (Disney Channel). In 2019, she and her pilot script IDENTITY CRISIS OF A BANANA were selected as one of eleven projects to participate in the PGA’s annual Diversity Workshop. In 2022 she consulted and wrote on the Netflix series, GYMNASTICS ACADEMY: A SECOND CHANCE, which was the #1 kid’s series in multiple countries. She also wrote the Christmas movie, A BIG FAT FAMILY CHRISTMAS(originally titled MY BIG FAT CHINESE CHRISTMAS) Hallmark Channel. She currently has two more films in development with Hallmark.
Justine is a passionate storyteller whose mission is to build bridges through storytelling and be part of the cultural shifts that elevate underrepresented voices. She especially loves writing RomComs, holiday, and kid’s stories. She is also currently one of the co-leads for the PGA’s AAPI Working Group.When Justine’s not writing or producing for the screen, she runs her own copywriting &brand storytelling business for impact-driven BIPOC & women entrepreneurs at Red Balloon Station, and is momming the shit out of life in her Boy Mom era.
